My reasons for liking Event Manager are:

1) Is 1.11 MB downloaded.

2) Is portable, although it does have some registry keys.

3) Has the option to start automatically on bootup.

4) Will alert you in advance (defined in increments of minutes, hours

or days)

5) Has a snooze feature in case you don't want to get to a particular

reminder right now, but want to be nagged to pieces until you do.

6) Has repeating ability, so you can set reminders to go off regularly

(weekly, monthly, yearly, etc.).

7) Reminds you with a popup, a user-defineable sound (it comes with

sounds, or you can define your own external sounds), and can run a

program.

8) Has the ability to mark events done.

9) Gives you a broad ability to review the events you've set up,

including ones that are past due.

10) Will nag you to pieces on any that are past due.

11) Remembers all events, so if you shut it down and run it again some

other time, it will alert you that you missed some events during the

time it wasn't running.

12) Highlights past due reminders in red so they stand out.

13) Shows a countdown for each reminder letting you know how long

until it's due.

14) Has a two month calendar which you can keep visible all the time

or hide, as you wish, with one click of the mouse.

15) Allows you to add a note to any reminder. The note shows when you

hover your mouse over the reminder.

16) Allows you to set the priority of the event so that it's clearly

marked in the list.

17) Has ten different display modes, from one day to the entire year

at once.

18) Can export the list to an HTML file for you.

19) Sits in the sytem tray.
